D-Fusion® Film Folic is a dietary supplement for pregnant and breastfeeding women and cannot replace a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle.
D-Fusion® Film Folic contains folic acid and vitamin D3 (colecalciferol) in the form of an orodispersible film (film or stamp to be placed on the tongue).
Folic acid (also known as folate or vitamin B9) contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy.
Indeed, folic acid plays an essential role in the process of cell division and thus in the development and growth of the baby.
Folates contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system, reduce fatigue, contribute to normal blood formation, promote normal amino acid synthesis and support normal psychological functions.
As the body's reserves of folic acid are built up gradually, it is recommended that women with a desire to become pregnant should begin taking folic acid supplements. This is to optimally replenish the body's reserves of folic acid (which are often diminished by taking the contraceptive pill). It is advisable to continue this folate intake up to 12 weeks after pregnancy.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women also have an increased need for vitamin D3. Colecalciferol is the natural form of vitamin D.
It is produced by our body when our skin is exposed to the sun. The main role of vitamin D is to stimulate the proper absorption of calcium. Vitamin D is therefore essential for the formation and maintenance of strong bones and healthy teeth.
Recent research has identified other roles for vitamin D, which are equally important. Among others it is involved in our body’s defence mechanisms and therefore actively participates in maintaining our natural resistance against all kinds of aggressions, both internal and external.
Recent research has shown that the majority of people currently do not achieve optimal vitamin D levels. The most common cause of vitamin D deficiency is an insufficient synthesis of vitamin D through the skin resulting from inadequate sun exposure due to the seasonal variations, the lack of outdoor activities or the wearing of clothes covering the whole body. In addition, the vitamin D production capacity of our skin decreases with age, as well as in dark skin people.
D-Fusion® Film Folic is particularly important in case of increased folate and vitamin D3 requirements, i.e. during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Folic acid is very important for pregnant women and those who wish to become pregnant. It is also recommended in the event of a drop in the level of folic acid in the diet.
A daily intake of vitamin D3 is also recommended during pregnancy.
D-Fusion® Film Folic contains:
- folic acid, which contributes to:
- the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy,
- normal amino acid synthesis and blood production,
- the proper functioning of the immune system,
- reducing fatigue and weariness,
- maintaining normal homocysteine metabolism;
- and vitamin D3 that contributes to:
- the normal functioning of the immune system,
- the maintenance of normal bone structure,
- the maintenance of healthy teeth,
- normal bone growth and development in children,
- normal muscle function,
- normal calcium levels.
D-Fusion® Film Folic is in the form of a film (film or patch to be placed on the tongue) and contains folic acid and vitamin D3. Its great advantage is that it can be administered in different ways: you can let the film melt on the tongue.
D-Fusion® Film Folic can be taken at any time of the day, preferably with meals. Do not chew.
D-Fusion® Film Folic is presented in a box of 28 orodispersible films.
D-Fusion® Film Folic is a food supplement and has been produced in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
